For those of you who followed my older posts and tweets, you’ll know that I was craving a change. I was fed up of Birmingham, my job, my (lack of) social life, not having my own space – I knew I had to do something about it. After applying for jobs all across the country and seeing rejection emails in my inbox for a few months, I got a job. In London. On my 30th birthday. How’s that for a bloody sign?!
So I’ve been here for just under seven months now, and it’s been pretty interesting to say the least. After sharing a tiny flat in Barnsbury with a psycho flatmate who made me contemplate moving back home, I now live in Highgate – with four normal people (Thank fuck!)
I still feel like a complete tourist in London sometimes, but that’s one of the things I love the most. Everything is new and exciting, and that will never change because there is always something different to see or do. It’s definitely the right city for a kitty!
I will be posting more about my experiences, likes, dislikes and much more, and I look forward to sharing it all with you.
